Haçienda Japan postponed due to recent earthquake
FAC51 The Haçienda has been forced to postpone its scheduled tour of Japan 17th to 19th March 2011 in light of the recent tragic events which have affected the country.
Both FAC51 The Haçienda and our partners in Japan have reluctantly decided it is in everyone's best interests to reconstitute the gigs later in the year when the time is right.
Everyone involved with Haçienda Japan would like to extend their deepest sympathies and support to the Japanese people in this time of difficulty and adversity and our greatest hopes that the nation will overcome this tragedy. We send all of our best wishes and love to our friends over there. Our thoughts are with you. Announcements will be made on the rescheduled tour in due course.
The artists involved in the tour have chosen to make the following statements.
On behalf of Basement Jaxx
“Basement Jaxx send all their love and sympathy to the people of Japan at this difficult time.
We've made a lot of friends and had so many good times in the country over the years, it's really devastating to watch what is happening over there right now. Obviously we're very disappointed not be coming this time but we're looking forward to re-scheduling The Haçienda dates and bringing some Jaxx love and music when the time is right.”

“The scenes in Japan are heartbreaking. The band and I are very sorry about the current situation. We send our love and best wishes to everybody in Japan and are looing forward to when things get back to normality over there and we can reschedule these dates.” Peter Hook
